The European Historic Houses Association appoints new Board of Directors

After eight years of faithful services,
Rodolphe de Looz-Corswarem stepped down as Executive President of the European Historic Houses. A new Executive President and Vice-Presidents have been appointed during the General Assembly of the Association, held on November 5, 2018.
Alfonso Pallavicini has been appointed as the new Executive President. After a long career in Investment Banking at PNB Paribas CIB, he moved to Belgium into Private Equity, where he co-managed a private investment company. He is now a Senior Advisor for a listed private investment company in Luxemburg. Alfonso is an owner of a historic house and has had to help in restructuring of such houses and review of their business models. He is passionate about built cultural heritage.
Wenceslas de Lobkowicz has been appointed as Vice-President. He has served over forty years within the European Commission, notably on matter related to cultural heritage, and is now teaching European policy at Sciences Po Paris and IEP of Lille. He is also an owner of a heritage house in France.
William Cartwright-Hignett, NextGen coordinator, has also been appointed as Vice-President. Following three years developing the UK NextGen programme for Historic Houses (UK), in 2013 William was appointed NextGen coordinator for the European Historic Houses. He has built a strong network, and organised international conferences, sharing of best practice and innovation in the management of historic houses. He owns a historic house in the UK.
Rodolphe de Looz-Corswarem will remain involved in the activities of the Association, and has been appointed Honorary President.
Together with a renewed Executive Committee, they will implement the strategy of the Association for the next four years to come.
